Strawberry Coconut Kiss Breakfast Smoothie made in a Bellini

Today's Strawberry Coconut Kiss Breaky smoothie is a little different from yesterday's, recipe on the blog shortly :)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Banana
  • 6 Medium Strawberries
  • 1/4 punnet Blueberries
  • 1/4 punnet Raspberries
  • 1/4 punnet Blackberries
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 2 Tspn Flaxseeds
  • 1 cup Coconut Water*
  • 1 Tspn Ground Cinnamon* 

Makes 2 drinks

*Added ingredients from yesterdays smoothie to give it that summery taste!

METHOD

Break up the banana into pieces, add berries to the Bellini bowl with the chopping blade. 

Sprinkle the flaxseeds and Cinnamon and pour in the Almond milk and Coconut Water.

Settings

Temp: 0  |  Speed: Increase gradually from 5 > 7 > 9

Time: Chopping blade > 1 minute > Scrape sides > Blend for 30 seconds more, it should be a nice smooth texture.

This is similar to yesterdays smoothie with a twist, have added coconut water and cinnamon, which just makes it sing! This is a great smoothie!

I had a question on Facebook as to whether or not I am eating solid food, well yes indeed I am, I believe a variety is good. My starting weight was 60kgs my goal weight is 53-52kgs, which I was about 18 months ago or so. Just having smoothies each morning and lovely salads, no bread or pasta, chocolate has helped me drop to 58kgs this week already with walking as my main exercise. 

I think it is important for your body to eat solid foods, we do have teeth for a reason! The smoothies are helping me gently increase my vitamin and minerals. I also take a multivitamin and drink plenty of water. I am reducing the carbonated drinks for a while, but I find it easier to drink lightly carbonated water with the SodaStream than just regular plain water.

Anyhoo, enjoy this one, I just loved it!
