  • Apple
  • Carrot
  • Cucumber
  • Ginger
  • Lemon
  • Baby Beetroot
  • Flaxseeds
  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Ice
  • Water

Chop up the fruit and veggies and throw it all in the Bellini or whatever food processor or juicer you have like a Nutribullet, VitalMax Juicer or Thermomix. Remember to remove the apple seeds because Apples have a small amount of cyanide compound in them.

Temp: 0  |  Speed: Increase gradually from 5 > 7 > 9

Time: Using the chopping blade, blend for 1 minute, then stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Power up for a further 1 minute, add water if necessary, I had to do this to loosen the texture. Continue to blend for a further 1-2 minutes or until fully blended to a smoothie texture.

Notes: The texture is thick, but can be thinned with water, coconut water or almond milk. You can leave out the nuts and flaxseeds if you wish, which gives it that texture. It's more of a smoothie than a juice. If you want a smoother texture, zap it in the processor for longer :) It is a little bland, so add more apple or lemon even the ginger go bring up the sweetness if you want to. I am trying to reduce the amount of sugars in my diet, so this works for me. Another thing, you can strain the more textured part of the smoothie, but I wanted that fullness and all the nutrients.

It made me feel fuller for longer in the morning. I poured a large cup and sipped it over 30 minutes or so.
