{ Recipe } Nutty Date Breakfast Smoothie Made In A Bellini

Nutty Date Breakfast Smoothie Made In A Bellini

  • 1 Mango
  • 4 Medijool Dates
  • 1 Tspn Ground Nutmeg
  • 1-1 1/2 Cup Soy Milk
  • 1 Tbsp Desiccated Coconut

  • Coconut Water (to make less thick)
  • Whey Powder
  • 6 Fresh Whole Raspberries

Makes 1-2 drinks

Peel and cut mango into pieces, add pull the dates in half and remove pits/seeds add to the Bellini bowl with the chopping blade.

Sprinkle the desiccated coconut, nutmeg over the top and pour in the soy milk.

Temp: 0  |  Speed: Increase gradually from 5 > 7 > 9

Time: Chopping blade > 1 minute > Scrape sides > Blend for 30 seconds more, it should be a nice smooth texture.

So this recipe I have opted not to add the whey powder and have chosen a different spice, the Nutmeg does give it a unique flavour and if you are not used to it, you may not find this recipe appealing. After I blended it up, I found that it needed more sweetness (for me anyway), so I threw about 6 raspberries in (whole) and mixed them in the cup gently. They were a nice little burst of sweetness which I enjoyed.

Anyhoo... you gotta love a "nutty date" don't ya?! hehe

Chin up, tits out!
